Dress-a-Bear Auction

The Lincoln Public Library in Lincoln, RI asked us to participate in their 2011 Dress-a-Bear silent auction to help raise money for library programs and materials. Above is our Gloria Duchin angel bear, dressed with wings and a halo along with a hand silkscreened Gloria Duchin tee shirt. Our bear is riding in a basket of clouds and includes two sets of our collectible angel ornaments for 12 angels in all!

More than 60 bears have been donated to the library including ours. If you live in the Rhode Island area, bidding on the bears begins on Monday, November 7th and ends on Friday, November 18th, with a gala party from 5:30-7:00 PM. For more information, please visit: http://www.lincolnlibrary.com/

Ice Cold

Our last post was about fiery reds, on the other end of the spectrum we also have ice blue and silver, a classy and trendy pairing for the upcoming winter. Below, Blake Lively shows off the combination in two separate gowns that together are reminiscent of glittering ice crystals. Looking to add some frost to your tree? Better off Red

US Weekly released their fall 2011 fashion style guide and the pages were painted red. From shoes to pants to skirts to dresses, jewelry and shorts, everything this season is better off red.

For added fire, try pairing different russet hues together: brick and cherry or burgandy and fuschia. Or accessorize with a big and bold ruby ring.

All That's Gold, Glitters

The glitz is back as celebs step out onto the red carpet in golden dresses and gowns adorned with sequins, jewel and fringe for the maximum glam. Emma Roberts stepped out in a gold leather Miu Miu dress with a beaded collar. At her Horrible Bosses premiere, Jennifer Anniston went with a shimmering Valentino Couture dress with glitter and sequin details, and at her show in New Jersey, Taylor Swift dressed as a modern-day flapper with a fringed mini-dress. Prints Charming

What's in for summer? Adorable floral prints on fun, flirty, ruffles skirts and flowing sun dresses. Celebs are stepping out in brightly colored patterns large and small, and on Leighton Meester's Stella McCartney skirt (below) paired together.

This is a great summer look because it's feminine and sweet and can be dressed up with heels or dressed down with sandals. I think we'll see this evolve as the seasons change, with prints and patterns in deeper shades and longer dresses with the same tiered fabrics and ruffles.
