Looking to 2017: Meadow Trend

Our Meadow trend can best be described as fancy, floral, and feminine. It is a lighthearted feeling with bright pops of color. Pinks and greens take the focus by accenting white and neutral backgrounds. Florals, birds, and butterflies adorn fabrics and accessories alike.

Sundresses, maxis, and kimonos are all sporting bright flowers and ferns. Otherwise understated jewelry showcases pops of pink and teal in tassels and beads. Pastel crystals are featured on a floral brooch, and flower crowns adorn the hair of festival goers everywhere.

The Meadow trend takes its place in the home by providing a neutral palette where bright florals can shine. White tablescapes are decorated with a mix of vibrantly colored dishes and vases. Air plants, succulents, and lilies are the bright additions to a white room. Antique botany prints adorn the halls and birds, and branches are spotted on the curtains.

Florals and birds remain the focus when decorating for the holidays. Hummingbirds and doves, with their glitter accents, adorn Christmas trees, while butterflies and wheelbarrow ornaments make great gifts for your garden-loving friends. Cherry blossoms and daisies can be worn year-round on earrings and bangles.

Looking to 2016: Galaxy Trend

It is both futuristic and whimsical, both angular and soft. The Galaxy trend mixes bubble gum pastels with hard geometry, which can be seen in surface design, jewelry, and furniture. Plastic and translucent fabrics can be seen, and the repetition of triangles gives this trend a bit of mystery. The color story is naturally inspired by the ultraviolet images of the heavens, while also referencing highly manufactured pigments and textures.

Mirrored sunglasses and moonstone necklaces set the tone. Dresses appear in bubblegum colors with symmetrical geometric patterns, or plain with one highly detailed image showcased in the center. Crystals and jewelry take on a holographic affect and mimic the aurora borealis skies. High shine plastic-like materials are paired with leathers and cottons.

Home décor takes on a geometric candy wonderland, light in color, but angular in shape. Natural geodes and stalactite crystals are set in boxy metal frames in lighting fixtures and side tables. The triangle pattern can be seen in carpets, upholstery, and playful wall hangings. Geometric facets are on display in both crystal curtain rods and terracotta hanging planters.

Light colored metallic finishes carry over into the holiday season. Matte silver and rose gold pair nicely with pastel colored epoxies and glitter. Bubble gum pink and muted sea green accents are a futuristic and whimsical take on the classic red and green.
