2014 Wood Trend

“Through The Woods”

A log cabin deep into the woods, a cup of hot chocolate on a wintery day, plaid and denim hanging in the closet, our Wood trend is one with nature. Bringing all natural woodsy elements into one, from head to toe, little pops of color peep out through the cracks. Salvage and restore a piece of old, weathered wood into a new piece for your home by adding dried hydrangeas or holly and berries for some old fashioned Christmas cheer.

A Pewter Christmas Tree frame with sea green glitter epoxy and a baby blue satin ribbon is a wonderful Baby’s First Christmas gift! A moose quietly glides through the snow in this Pewter Winter Scene, with the cabin and forest, the green chiffon ribbon adds the right pop of color! A dusty rose satin ribbon tied among this Pewter Dog House frame holding a silver glitter dog bone charm and “Home Is Where the Dog Is” engraved at the base. This Pewter Reindeer Couple with copper glitter antlers stand behind a banner engraved with “Our First Christmas.” Get ready for some tree cutting with this Pewter Hand Saw tied with a green glitter chiffon ribbon. An inspirational poem is engraved on this Pewter Tree of Life with green glitter accents and an oval photo charm.

2014 Air Trend

In looking to 2014 for trends, we sought inspiration from the very basic elements that make up our surroundings: Air, Metal, Earth, Wood, and Water. Though each element is organic and found in nature, each trend has a very specific mood and feel that sets it apart from the rest. We have explored each in the context of fashion, home decor, and how that trend relates to our own line of ornaments. At Gloria Duchin, we use these trends as inspiration when designing new product and custom packaging. We hope you enjoy our sneak-peek into 2014!

“On Cloud Nine”
A light and airy feel is what comes to mind with just a glance at this trend. With pastel blues and pinks, smooth textures, and creamy whites, this Air trend has it all! With a touch of light blues, silver or gold, the Air trend is perfect for a warm summer day or the snowy wintery morning. Time to decorate the Christmas tree and get the house ready for the holidays? Gently wrap a long ribbon of silk around the branches and with a touch of soaring angels and glistening bulbs, your tree will be blissfully glowing.

Our Pewter Snowflake accented with Swarovski Crystals at each point and a white satin tassel is the perfect ornament for a wintery day. “Trust In God” is engraved on our Pewter Angel ornament with glittery wings and a large blue teardrop bead. Shine in the sky with our Pewter Fleur de Lis that stands out with its silver glitter epoxy and large crystal stone in the center. A Matte Silver Dove tied with a white and silver glittered chiffon ribbon will be a graceful touch to any tree.
