Popping up Paisley

In our latest Trend Intelligence™, retail trend book, we forecasted paisly as an upcoming trend for the 2008 season. It appears our prediction was accurate, as celebrities such as Kate Hudson and Catherine Zeta Jones were featured in the pages of the latest People magazine in bohemian style dresses covered in paisley patterns.

You'll see paisley taking many forms this year. When woven together in bright colors such as purple, orange, red, pink and navy blues, the pattern is reminiscent of the 70's era. However, when paisley is seen in softer colors; beige, black, white and midtones, the look has an elegant, classic appeal. Either way, paisleys are sure to keep popping up in fashion, home decor and seasonal.
